Our group will be staying at the romantic Park Hotel Kenmare on the Ring of Kerry, the heart of Ireland’s most scenic countryside. We’ll enjoy award-winning cuisine, traditional Irish music, artisan food tours, world-class and golf, and one of the world’s top 25 spas according to Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Awards!

Sharon has arranged a program that includes cooking classes by the Park Kenmare’s executive chef, special visits to the award-winning Millens Cheese Farm, the Kenmare Smoked Salmon Kiln, and the Lorge Chocolates. We’ll enjoy a traditional Irish music session and view classic movies in a twelve-seat cinema.

Park Hotel Kenmare is known for its outstanding hospitality. You’ll love the luxurious comfort, relaxed atmosphere, and surrounding tropical garden. The hotel’s spacious rooms are decorated with antique furnishings and original art. Nearby are golf courses, game fishing, scenic walks, hikes, and horse treks.

The pride of the hotel is it’s restaurant, with cuisine that has received numerous international awards. In the evenings our group will dine on marvelous dishes featuring the seafood that abounds in this part of Ireland, succulent Kerry lamb, and spectacular fresh produce. The cellar contains rare wines and whiskey and is one of the most highly regarded in Ireland.

SAMAS, which translates from Gaelic as “indulgence of the senses,” is the hotel’s deluxe destination spa. Therapeutic traditions from the East and West will revive your body, mind, and soul. The magnificent indoor pool with adjoining sauna is not to be missed!

August 23

• After a gourmet Irish breakfast, a cooking class with Mark Johnstone, executive chef at Park Hotel Kenmare
• A luncheon of the dishes we learned to make in class
• An afternoon excursion to the internationally famous Kenmare Smoked Salmon Kiln
• Dinner with wine in the gorgeous Dining Room of the Park Hotel Kenmare

August 24

• After breakfast, a free morning for enjoying the many luxurious treatments at the spa, golfing on some of the world’s best courses, fishing, swimming in the Olympic-size indoor pool, or exploring and relaxing
• An afternoon excursion to the award-winning Mileens Cheese Farm
• Traditional Irish music performance in the salon at 5:00pm
• Dinner with wines in the Dining Room of the Park Hotel Kenmare

August 25

• After breakfast, a cooking class with chef Mark Johnstone. We will learn how to make traditional and updated Irish dishes such as Goat Cheese Spring Rolls, Brown Soda Bread, Smoked Salmon with Leek Quiche, Mustard Glazed Salmon, and Apple Cake
• Afternoon free for golfing, fishing, spa treatments, or exploring and relaxing on our own
• Dinner not included in programme

August 26

• After a hearty breakfast, a morning guided flora and fauna or heritage walk
• An afternoon visit to acclaimed Lorge Chocolates for a most delicious experience
• Dinner in the Dining Room of the Park Kenmare
• Evening in the Reel Room, a 12-seat cinema showing legends of the silver screen in great classics

August 27

• After one more fabulous breakfast, a fond farewell and departure
